Monday-Wednesday Miscellany
USA Today's Idol Chatter has the SoundScan numbers which are very similar to the HDD estimates. Lauren Alaina picked up 18K.
Hits Daily Double estimates Daughtry's album debuting at 130K, while James Durbin debuts at just 25.8K. Scotty McCreery rakes in another 89.5K, while Kelly Clarkson gets another 42.5K. Lauren Alaina is not on the list, which means less than 20K.

Scotty and Kelly Both Golden
According to USA Today's Idol Chatter blog, both Scotty McCreery and Kelly Clarkson have gone gold. The odd thing is the young guy Scotty has done it with his album, while the old girl Kelly has done it her her single. This is the opposite of what it should be. But the reason for it is Scotty is country, while Kelly is pop. Country folk are still into albums, while pop folk are all about singles.
