Monday-Wednesday Miscellany

  • USA Today's Idol Chatter has the SoundScan numbers up. They differ a bit from the HDD estimates. Kelly Clarkson's "Mr. Know It All" single has passed Scotty McCreery's single "I Love You This Big."
  • Billboard is reporting possible concerts by Queen fronted by Adam Lambert. Read Here
  • Hits Daily Double has its estimates in. Daughtry's album picks up 40K, Scotty 35.6K, Kelly 19.1K. No sign of Lauren or James. That would put them under 14.3K.
  • David Archuleta "O Holy Night" New York:
  • Danny Gokey "O Holy Night" Houston:

  1. Reading from USA Today's Idol Chatter blog, Lauren Alaina will be opening for the Jason Aldean tour. This is good news for Lauren as it will allow the record label to make money to make up for her relatively poor album sales.

  2. James Durbin is a case of people liking him and voting for him, but not taking him seriously as a recording artist.

  3. Adam Lambert fits Queen the same way Arnel Pineda fits Journey. Might as well do it.

  4. David did pretty good on that song.

  5. Danny Gokey shows why he never should have gone country in the first place.
